VMware, running slower than it should?
For whatever reason I have a dual boot with W98 and W2000 options. OK, so far no problem. When I boot to the Win98 OS, stuff goes wrong. The video adapter only provides me with 2 bit or 16 bit graphics. The OS runs extremely slow. I can not seem to make any changes by re-installing W98. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Try a new clean install (dual-boot)and see if your problems disappear. You will probably spend more time chasing the networking spectrum, The W2K Machine is the only one with the extremely slow network performance - the others are lightning fast. Hardware problem or not?
